Not sure about the olden's actually playing, but some sort of "Guard of Honour" as Noble leads the players out might allow him to nod his appreciation to those he watched as a lad.
And allow fans to show their appreciation, before the game starts, for all the best they've seen down the years.

Of course I can understand that, but as a genuine West Ham fan since childhood I hoped that he might have taken the opportunity to look beyond his career team mates and put something together truly special. McAvennie and Di Canio up front, Brooking floating around behind them, Bonds at the back alongside Rio, Ludo in goal with Parkes waiting in the wings to come on. Dicks at left back playing behind Devonshire etc etc loads of potential dream situations to see, even if they are old boys with injuries, just seeing them in the shirt on the pitch would be worth the entrance fee.
